DOOGEE recently released a new product that I was really impressed with, DOOGEE P1, a magic multifunctional portable LED projector. In case you didn’t know, DOOGEE, a Chinese electronics maker, specializes in manufacturing cost-effective devices featuring micro innovations for better user experience.
This novelty looks like a Rubik’s cube, thus, people also call it DOOGEE Smart Cube P1. It’s a projector that can be used to display movies and videos on the wall. Aside from the projection, it can also act as a mobile battery for charging other mobile devices thanks to the built-in 4800mAh powerful battery. Moreover, it runs a full version of Android 4.4 OS and is equipped with a quad-core processor, 1 GB RAM and 8 GB of internal memory for storage. And it has built-in speakers, thus, you can use this gadget without a phone or any other additional devices. Of course, it also supports Bluetooth headset and USB connection.
Design and Features
As mentioned above, this portable LED projector looks like a Rubik’s Cube, which is a very eye-catching design. It has the dimensions of 62 x 62 x 62mm, the same with the popular toy. It fits easily in the hand or any pockets and bags. In addition, DOOGEE Cube P1 weighs 290 grams. That’s quite heavy for its mini size.
On the front of the projector, there is brand name “DOOGEE” and product name “Smart Cube P1”. On the right side, there is a USB port. On the left, there is the power button, Micro-USB port, and a wheel to adjust the focus.
Specifics and Performance
DOOGEE Cube P1 is a 70 lumen LED projector with a native resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. Of course, it’s not as good as FULL HD projector, but DOOGEE P1 greatly exceeded my expectations.
In addition, it comes with a 4-core processor, Amlogic S805 CPU paired with a GPU Mali T450, 8 GB of internal memory and 1 GB of RAM. Although it is not the gadget with the coolest hardware, it has an excellent speed.
And then, it is just I want to mention, it has the USB-port, including a micro USB 5 pin(Adapter) and a USB Type A. The micro USB can be used in OTG mode. That means you charge the smartphone via it. Moreover, this gadget establishes a Miracast, DLNA, and Airplay.
Battery
Even though the LED projector is small in size, but it holds within itself a dynamic and powerful battery at the capacity of 4800mAh that provides at least 3 hours of use. And the gadgets can act as an emergency power bank.
Conclusion
DOOGEE Smart Cube P1 will be a right choice for those who are looking for a mini and handy projector. It can project an image on the screen of Android smartphones, iPhones, devices on the MacBook and Windows. And it will fit in any case for watching movies. More than a projector, DOOGEE Cube P1 is capable of acting as an emergency power bank.
